Problems with colour

I have just installed a Mercury TV tuner card together with a Radean Power color 9250 graphics card. TV programmes are great and in colour but when I conect my video player and play a tape the screen is in black and white, as I am intending to copy my own tapes to DVD I would like them in colour. Any suggestions please. :hotbounce

You probably overlooked the PAL/NTSC setting in the capture settings.

There are two widespread ways of encoding TV signals - PAL and NTSC. If the sender and receiver don't match, then you get a black and white image.

Thanks for that how do I check/ repair the problem?.

No idea

I suppose you have an option for that in either your tuner card or video capture software settings.
