Hello,

I hope someone can help me, as I cant for my life figure out what is going on here.
A few weeks ago did I buy a large LCD tv, to use both for my normal tv channels but also for my media pc.

When I connect my media PC everything is fine, I can see my desktop and everything, but the problem starts if I want to play a film in PowerDVD or Windows Media player.
The window where you would normally see the film, is just black. I can hear the sound and the rest of the desktop is visible. It really is just the ‘film’ window where I cant see anything.

I have also tried to connecting the media PC to a normal monitor and there everything works fine.

Has anyone got any ideas on what could be going on or what I should be checking for?

Cheers
Jon

In Media Player go to tools -> options -> performance tab -> advanced. Then in the video acceleration section untick use overlays. There should be a similar thing about overlays in PDVD. See if that fixes it.
