I have a motherboard with a 20+4 pin atx connector, and an additional 4 pin connector on the motherboard. My PSU has both the 20+4 pin ATX connector and the normal 4 pin Motherboard connector. Is it required to plug in both the 20+4 pin ATX connector AND the 4 pin connector? How do I go about this?

I meant what should I do, should I leave just the 20 pin in and plug in the Motherboard Pin or plug in ALL pins, 20+4 AND other 4 pin motherboard connector to the power supply?

I included a visual incase I fail to explain it correctly.

Ah I see now. You should plug them all in. The 20+4 pin is needed for your mobo to work properly and the extra 4 pin connector is needed for your cpu to work properly.

Thanks again howard. I built people computers and now I have to go back and fix 'em all (about 5 of them!) ICUB4UCME, I don't need an adapter, I just need to correctly plug things in next time...I had originally thought that the extra 4 pin was incase you didn't have a separate 4 pin, but I was wrong, so thanks again. Let me do the honors...THREAD CLOSED!
