Putting past on CPU

Hi i have just placed my chipset in the motherboard socket and fitted the heatsink and fan and i havnt put any paste on the cpu im just wondering if i should take the heatsink off and put on the paste or if its ok to leave it,the heatsink had some paste type material thing on it already and the instructions that came with the chip doesnt say to put any on, is that the paste on the heatsink already? any suggestions? thanks tony

The paste that come ready applied to the heatsink will be fine for now. So don`t worry too much.

If you cpu temperatures are ok, forget about it.
