Hey GUys

I bought Call od Duty 2 and, after installing DirectX 9.0c, tried to run it, but each time a DirectX error came up saying "DirectX has encountered an unrecoverable error. See the DirectX FAQ for deetails" and it crashes. I did all the stuff said on the FAQ. Iv posted on the Activision Support a few times and, on my third post, someone told me my graphics card (nVidia GeForce FX 5200) wasn't compatible with DX 9. But the system req's on the box listed nVidia FX series as a compatible with the game and DX?? Will the FX 5200 card work or not? Is this causing the error. I ran diagnostics on DX and found no problem with it, so i think it has to do with the hardware.

THanks to all who reply to me question!

Did you download the latest DX9? The card comes with DX9. If you need 9.0c there must be an update. Did you compare all the game requirements with your card's specs?

What driver version are you using? 93.71 WHQL also- Feb 2007 update?
I've seen some issues with last week's 168.18 WHQL

The July 26th updated WHQL 168.18 has 9.0c I believe.
If you have less than 1.5GB system ram you will take a performance hit big time. See the 168.18 release notes.
