Just a quick question on RAID 1. Will it improve loading times? For example, if it currently takes me a minute to load BFME2, will RAID 1 cut it down to 30 seconds?
Any responses welcome!

RAID 1 is mirroring. That will not speed anything up. RAID 0 *can* help to speed things up but there's no fault tolerance.

acutlaly, yes you will find SOME increase in speed, however it won't be near as good as raid 0... (you'll still be able to notice though) (in theory)

As far as I've always known that SOME increase you might see would be a negative value.

RAID1 will give you the same performance increase for reads as RAID0 so yes, load times should improve. Writes will be just as slow as with a single drive.

This is assuming real RAID. Nothing is certain when you have fakeraid that depend on your OS, CPU and how much the driver writers were behind schedule.
