Hello,

I wondered if anyone knew what the maximum size HDD you can have on a raid 5 system?

Im talking 14 drives with 2 used... I have been advised I can use 300GB or 146GB max.

Thank you

RAID as a concept has no storage limit, it's limited by the RAID controller board. It's true that many SCSI controllers have 146 GB limit, but that can often be removed with the controller firmware upgrade. Old IDE controllers may have 137 GB limits for individual drives, but I think new controllers (PATA and SATA) should support larger ones.
