I have an ASUS P4P800 SE Motherboard that currently has Kingston DDR400 Valueram (1 Gig). I want to upgrade to 2 Gigs, but I dont know if I have to use ECC or non ECC and I dont know the speed of the Ram. Can someone please help?
Thank you very much.

Most likely you need RAM that is not ECC. You said that your ram was DDR400, that means that it's real speed is 400/2 = 200Mhz, but because it's DDR SD-RAM it's labeled as 400 because it does double the amount of work as the previous SD-RAM at the same speed.

just read the label off the current stick of ram you have. It should tell you. Then buy an exact copy of it. you should be fine.
