Random Computer Restarts and BSOD error

Hi, I am new to the boards and this is my first post :) but unfortunately, it comes in a crappy situation for me. This morning, my computer started randomly restarting itself. I am using Windows XP Professional and after a few minutes at the "Select User" screen, the computer will just restart itself. There is no actual sequence of programs that causes this though. I can't really understand this problem because last night, the computer was working fine. I have disabled automatic shutdown and found this BSOD error:

STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xEF9AD3D7, 0xEC6C1A20, 0x00000000)

system32:lzx32.sys - Address EF9AD3D7 base at EF9AB000, DateStamp 458c2c44

Right now, I am using safe mode and rolled back my display drivers, but doing that has not solved my problem. This is very annoying as anyone could imagine -_- well, I also tried cleaning the inside of my computer and found very little dust at all. My specs are:

AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (a little bit OC'd)
512MB RAM dual channel
ATi Radeon 9600XT
80GB HDD
Abit NFS-7 nForce2 mobo

Thanks for your time.

Hello and welcome to techspot!

In my signature, there is a link for random reboots. This is a troubleshooting guide to help you find what is causing your headaches. Go through the steps there, one of them is likely the source.

Good luck!
