re-installed vista and hit a BIG PROBLEM

ok so i just re-installed vista after hitting an unsolvable problem involving media player 11 and error code...anyways
my new problems is that i have no backup/ restore center on my new reinstalled windows, i have just got everything back up and working on it and am not reinstalling it again, so i was wondering if anybody knows how to solve this problem. thanks

search the microsoft website for windows backup utility (I think it's called ntbackup.exe) and see if that comes up with anything
