Hi,

Ive just recently had my pc formated and its been working fine except for one thing... when i load it it says found new hardware it says its looking for

multimedia audio controller, i personally dont know what to do,

My Motherboard ID is : (07-09-03) Springdale-G-6A79AM4KC-00
The Serial Number is : LIUC32704098

My pc is a packard bell, with windows xp professional, any help would be fantastic.,

P.s, the packard bell website is giving me a headache and has proven useless.

Packard Bell with XP Pro? Yikes!

Go into the Device Manager, and look for any yellow asterisks. If you find one under Multimedia Audio Controller, right click it and disable this device. This should stop the New Hardware Found message. Do you have normal sound on this computer?
 
No, thats the problem my sound doesnt seem to be working any longer and apparantly its due to that, when i click help on my pc looking for the volume control it says im missing a...''Mixer device''??
