Hi all. Here's my problem...
When i play games, the sound becomes increadbly distorted to the point that i cannot hear the sound of the game anymore(due to the amount of distortion) and i have to mute the volume on my speakers. Also, after a while i see that small green dots appear on the screen... I have tried reinstalling my audio drivers, cleaning all the dust out of my pc,mixing around with volume control and windows troubleshooting, and none have worked so far. the only thing that seems to work (only temporarley though) is tapping on the side of the computer:-\
Here are the specs of my pc:

ASUS A7V600- X Motherboard with intergarted sound
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ CPU
ATI Sapphire Radeon 9200 Atlantis 256Mb DDR Video Card
Maxtor 6Y120PO 120GB HDD
Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-109 DVD/CD Drive
Windows 2004 with Service Pack 4 OS

Thanks in advance!

it might not be your sound card

i have an nvidia geforce fx5200..i dont game but from time to time my card crashes the computer. it all begins with the monitor falling asleep and my logitechs making distorted noises.after the monitor wakes up i get a bsod or the system freezes
the green spots your are getting are obviously visual and that points at your graphics card, check it out..
and the tappping? make sure your add on cards are properly seated :)
