Realtek AC97, sound from one speaker only

Ive had this problem for a while and i cannot seem to figure it out myself. I Ihave a 2ch speaker system with sub and the sub and the left channel work fine. I try playing music with right channel sound and i can hear it very faintly if i turn it up. I was wondering if maybe its a common problem and an easy solution , i somehow doubt it though. Anyways thatnks for all input. Also ive downloaded all its latest drivers.

Did you plug the cables in properly? Do it again. Are you sure you haven't set the balance all the way to the left? Check it again.

Swap the cables around and see if you lose the sound from the left speaker now.

My speakers are all hooked up right, of that im sure
Also, my balances are all set properly, That was the first thing i tried.
Any suggestions?

I could be wrong but your speakers are plugged into the green jack, correct? Do you have a headphone set to plug into that jack to test it? If it's not the motherboard jack then it could be the speaker plug or the wiring to right speaker or from the built in speaker amp.

Hi,

Your problem is your MOBO connectors. If it's an MSI board you should have another two sockets on the front of side of your base unit. Try the other green socket.
