reinsatlling windows - formatting

lets cut to the chase, i gotta problem and i gotta install windows. 1 question: with a "quick format" installing windows, will any of my other data besides windows be lost?

Yes all your data will be lost with any kind of format.

Why do you need to reinstall Windows?

Would doing a Windows repair as per this thread HERE be an option?

At least with a repair you would keep your data.
