Remote Access/No Remote Tab

I am so glad I found this website. There is so much great information. But I did a search and couldn't find the answer to my question.

We have a Windows XP Professional machine here with service pack 2. I doubled checked. I am logged in as the administrator of the machine and when I go into the System Properties by right-mouse clicking on My Computer, I have no Remote Tab. Tried it via the Control Panel as well and still no luck. Is there another way to access this? Could some component not be installed or something not turned on?

As long as the Remote Desktop Help service is not started, that tab will not show.
Rightclick My Computer/Manage/Services and Applications/Services.
Scroll down to Remote Desktop Help service, rightclick it and select Start.

Thank you so much for your reply. In the end we ended up putting the XP disk in the machine and running repair. This corrected the problem. But I'll keep your option on hand because it would certainly be quicker!
