I had installed "Drive Image" backup program by Symantec years ago. It created a d: drive. When Symantec stopped supporting it, I could not find uninstall information, in fact, it was not recommended? What is the best way to delete this drive and the information stored there? I already reformmatted it to an NTFS file format (CONVERT D: /FS:NTFS). There don't seem to be any problems. I checked the driver for errors and bad sectors. And I bleached it with Privacy Guardian. I'm unsure about deleting to the recycle bin because there is an msconfig file, etc. I guessed DISKPART would work, but the MS knowledge base does not help me much. I also tried www.sysinternals.com and sevaral of their programs would not run from the command prompt (don't know what I did wrong there).

PLease excuse my error: DRIVE IMAGE is the correct software name, not DISK IMAGE
