  1. Hi all,

Just registered here because i'm at a total loss... DDO, the game i am playing, started to crash to dekstop since last thursday the day the last patch was applied. These crashes occur at seemingly random intervals sometimes i will last half an hour in game others times i crash every 2 minutes literally, apparently very few people are experiencing my problem.

Every time i crash i find the exact same message in the event log, also the address listed in the event log message is always the same (does that matter?):

Faulting application dndclient.exe, version, faulting module dndclient.exe, version, fault address 0x002ad715.

I have run a memory check twice now and let in run trough at least 2 times without any errors. Also tried a fresh install of my pc and updated my drivers, i tried several versions of my sounddrivers and my videodrivers to no effect.

Frankly i haven't got a clue anymore what i can do to resolve this problem, needless to say that any help would be greatly appreciated. If more info is needed about my setup plz let me know.

    AMD Athlon XP 3000+
Asus A7V8X Motherboard (VIA KT400 chipset)
    PoV Geforce 7800GT AGP
2G PC3200 DDR SDRAM (used to be PC2700, crashes occur with both)
    Onboard AC97 Sound
    2 SATA harddrives

Obviously seems to be a fault with the game itself if the RAM is fine and you have a fresh OS

I'm not sure if there's a setting in your game to turn off automatic updates, if so maybe you're masking this problem: HERE

    Stormreach DNDclient.exe Crash

I would like to reopen this thread. I am having the same problem with a similar, if not exact, error message. DNDClient.exe has enountered an error and needs to close. This sucks. Has anyone found a cure for the problem yet? I have went as far as reformatting my computer and reinstalling and I am still having this problem. Thanks in advance.

I'm not a games player but I've just Googled DNDClient.exe and found many websites referring to similar problems. The couple I glanced at suggested that this is a firewall issue.
    Check them out.

Thanks for the reply. That is what Support kept telling me so I turned my Firewall, Virus/Spyware protection completely off and I was still having the problem. However the latest message I received from DDO support was that the file size for the client is supposed to be 2.31 GB but everytime I try to redownload it, it is only 2.26 GB. I am having a Guildie send me a disc to install from. Please keep the idea's comming in case this doesn't work. Thank you!!
