For some reason that I can't understand if I try to run a program with a different resolution or color depth than my desktop my computer will start it and then minimize the program. It doesn't crash because the program still runs but if I try maximizing it again the same thing happens; it just re-minimizes. So far this has happened to: Black & White 2, Rome: Total War, Civ IV, and older games like GTA2 and Dungeon Keeper 2. It's not a big problem but it is definitely annoying to have to constantly adjust my display settings to get programs to work, and Rome: Total War has started doing this no matter what my display settings are. Any suggestions?
