Samsung SHR-1040 dvr

when I power the unit up, It goess to the screen, "Initializing System", and it stays there and does nothing else. Any clues?

This model is noted for having power up issues. Have it serviced...

Any clue as to who might do that? I looked at the samsung sight and they do not service these.

Google is a good place to start. A DVR is just that, a DVR. Start with searching for "DVR Repair"...
