Sata Raid problem

Hi im new to Raid sata drives.
I have two sata hdd's a 16gb and a 400gb i put em in and formatted them,
i should have 50060gbs.
but i only get 298.10gbs. what did i do wrong if anyone can pls help.

Did you set them up as a RAID0 array? With RAID, the size of the smallest drive will be used for all hard drives. If you want to use all your disk space, then you have to use those drives separately or use some software features (Dynamic Discs) to span partitions across the two disks.
