Sceptre X20G-NagaIII set-up problem

I built up a barebone kit purchased from Tiger direct, Motherboard Asus A8N-SLI, 1.5 GB ram, Two XFX Ge-Force 6800 Xtreme PCIe set upas non SLI for now. 500W Ultra power supply. Everything worked great with my 19" CRT. I just got the Spectre monitor and having problems, computer will not boot beyond motherboard logo screen and goes blank. Only way I can get the Sceptre to work is to boot with my old CRT and when windows professional is loaded then plug in the Screptre and turn it on. At this point it works great. If I shut down and re-start with Spectre connected it will not boot up. Sometimes during the boot process it stops and starts over rebooting over and over again. Any ideas?

I haven't a clue.

Your monitor should have no effect on your system booting. Is it possible you have multiple problems, not just with the monitor?
