Having sorted out multiple problems with hdd, windows and windows CD, the screen just goes black as soon as i try to install XP pro, but works fine in the CMOS (occasionally freezes) and in DOS
I also tried a hdd with a good windows installation on, but the screen goes black as soon as the windows loading screen appears.
I have a new graphics card and motherboard so it cannot be a problem with the graphics card.
I assume this means there is a problem with the processor, has anyone else had a problem like this? I've had nothing but problems for three weeks now and could really do with a working computer of my own.
