Screen turns blank on start up for a second of two...

Every since I installed my Radeon 9250, on startup after about a min or so, the screen turns black like it would when you change display settings (ie. resolution, refresh rate etc.). What can I do to stop this?

It may be blanking out like its changing resolutions because it is in fact doing just that. Are you using a DVI to analog converter on the back of your video card? because thats just what it does.

No, no converters. Just monitor. The resolution looks the same though before and after.

Or it could be loading the proper driver.

Does it help if i say it's after I click my account and all the system tray stuff loads up that the screen does the blank for 1-2 secs thing.
