Setting up Sharing Calendars via Exchange instead of Outlook...is it possible???

Hi Everyone,

I have been asked if it is possible to set up calendar sharing on users in an active directory/exchange environment from the exchange server itself rather than completing this the traditional way (through outlook caldenar section).

What do you mean by "calendar sharing"?

Do you want to be able to set the permissions on the calendars of individual users?
Something like saying that the secretary is able to edit the boss's calendar?

Or, do you mean setting up a public calendar (folder) that a certain group of people can edit together?

Hey,

By calendar sharing I meant giving someone permission to view someone elses calendar (e.g. the example you gave with the secretary).

I have resolved the issue. I gave myself access to the persons mailbox through exchange, then in outlook, selected the "folder list option" which enabled me to set the required permissions on the calendar.
