  1. Hello all, as stated in the subject line, I've had an approximate 15-20% slowdown, I have a bunch of processes I'm sure shouldn't be there, and my windows games and my calculator disappeared for no reason. These are features I don't use every month so I'm not sure of the exact date all this happened, but I officially noticed the disappearance the week following last month's scare regarding the new virus/worm that apparantly would eat up the hard drive. I've reinstalled the games and calculator using add/remove programs, but I'm still worried about the processes, so here's my hijack this log:

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

I can`t see anything nasty in your HJT log. However, it is a little congested with usless stuff.

Get rid of all the Sony crap on your computer. It`s using lot`s of resources. Do you even use it?

I`d also advise that you get rid of that Symantec/Norton crapware. Yet another resource hog.

Try the free AVG antivirus programme and the free Zonealarm firewall.

    Regards Howard
