Hi,

I've had this ongoing issue for a while now and I've tried swapping RAM. I'm currently using half the original but the OS is still not stable.

I get this error:
BCCode : c0000218 BCP1 : E1AF8788 BCP2 : 00000000 BCP3 : 00000000
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

I've included my MiniDump as well.

Can someone help stop the hemmoraging?

Thanks,

Steve

Registry Corruption

Hi SS,

This is software hive (ie registry) corruption and windows is unable to load the registry.

Microsoft Webpage of bugcheck code 218
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=830084

Solution
Try running the Emergency Recovery Disk (ERD) and allow the system to repair any errors that it detects. If the problem is a missing or corrupt registry file, this will usually fix the problem.
