My father recently used his windows re-install cd that came with his computer. The install went great but now there is a sound problem.
When you move the volume bar up it automatically goes back to 0 when you let off of it. I put a new sound card and mixer in it and it does the same thing.
The computer puts out sounds when you hold the volume bar at the top, but like I said when you let go of it just goes back down. I looked through all sound related controls and didn't find any problems. There is no keyboard volume control. It has onboard sound, and the computer is about 4 years old.
Any ideas would be appreciated
