every time i restart my computer i lose my sound drivers,, realtek ac97 card

Could you give us some system specs please? Also, if this is onboard sound has any bios settings changed at all?

I'm almost certain that the ac97 is an on board sound card, i would do what Masque said and check in the bios to make sure you haven't disabled it, you usually find it in the bios under intergrated peripherals, just make sure it's enabled then save the settings and exit.
