Sound Issues

Hi guys have a sound card which i got with my abit mobo a basically installed the realtek ac 97 drivers from realteks site. The problem i have is that after like a day it says

There are no active mixers available.

this is confusing a si installed the realtek drivers just a day ago, to over come this issue i just have to install the drivers again this is really annoyin. anybody got any ideas y. Thx

Nvidia 7800gtx
abit an8 sli fata1ty
western digital 200gb SATA HD
zalman cooling

Do you still have the disk that came with the mobo?? Best thing to do is to uninstall all audio drivers and reinstall from the cd and see how that goes before downloading any other drivers/software. Sometimes the driver package from the mobo cd has additional software built in that driver updates from the websites do not.
