Hi,

I have a New Toshiba Notebook and its got a 80gig HD and for some reason it only shows I have 1 gig left now I have tagged the whole drive but it only comes up with about 35Gig I checked the page file which is under a gig and I have even made sure its not hidden files. I tried doing a disk clean up and that gave me about a gig but still missing almost half?

Any sugestions or software that might be able to find the rest would be greatly appreciated.

PS its a p4 Running 1 gig of ram with 80gig HD XP Home.

Have you actually partitioned/formatted the whole thing? What do the disk properties show as the total size of the drive?

Have you checked the drive for errors? Filesystem corruption can make disk space disappear.

Sequoia View is a good program to find out where your disk space has gone.

I have checked the size of the drive and the properties report that the total size is all their.
