I went from a used ancient computer windows 95 hd1.9gb to 98 to 98se hd14.ogb. The information was transferred to the new HD and tower. The old hd had lots of errors, lots of free downloads and removals. So I have lots of intertwined shared components, and stuff not totally removed.. I also have lots of spyware. My ad-aware spy scan and removal found over 500+ spies. I quarantined them, on a trial and my computer kept going to the blue screen of death. So I restored it. I don't have a OS 98 or 98se CD.
I'm trying to decide to clear my HD and restart over with a XP home edition,
New bigger hd, and DVD/CD RW combo, in my tower, or to go buy a tower from like circuit city. Computers are worse than used cars. What would you do???
