Start up in safe mode in XP

I'm wondering how i can get my computer to start in safe mode? I need to enable some services in MSCONFIG because after disabling nearly all of them, XP claims to not be activated and won't allow me to do anything... I hope safe-mode will allow me to circumvent this?

When your computer first starts to boot up rapidly tap the F8 key and you should get a list of choices to choose from.

Some computers may have boot keys disabled...that might be a problem. Especially if it isn't your comp.

you will need to activate XP in order to fix that. Safe Mode isn't going to help unless you're doing something illegal to circumvent the activation. I'd recommend you call MS and resolve this if your copy of XP is legit, if it isn't, go buy a copy and install it. Sould fix you right up
