From only one minidump it is difficult to be 100% sure.

If you can attach 5, or 6 minidumps here.

Your minidump crashes at SYMEvent.SYS. This is the Symantec Event Library.

This is a known issue on some systems/configurations.

Sometimes, turning off the live update can solve the problem.

You could also try uninstalling, and reinstalling the programme.

If none of the above work, then maybe you should consider using a different security product.

    Regards Howard :) :)

Is Live Update a service or option in the System Manager?

I have never used any of the Symantec/Norton products, so I don`t really know how you would go about turning off the live update.

However, if you consult your documentation, or the Symantec website, you should be able to find out.

    Regards Howard :) :)
