My grand dad wanted me to look at his floppy drive on his PC as it was not working, after telling him to buy a burner and him looking at me blankly and telling me it's taken him 20 years to work out saving to the a: I decided to see if I could fix it. I couldn't....
His PC runs XP HE on FAT32. When you put a disk in that he's used many times before on the exact same system it keeps asking 'Please insert disk', but you can format the a: no problem and then it'll read the newly formatted disk, but anything not newly formatted can't be read, I've put the floppy disks in other machines and they are read no problem. I also figured it was the actual drive so I swapped the drive over with mine and still the same problem
...::: Please insert disk :::... THE DISK IS INSERTED
Anyone got any ideas, they would be appreciated, thanks
