My system
CPU: AMD 3800+ X2
Motherboard: A8n-SLi ASUS
Ram: 2x 1024mb pc 3200
GPU: XFX 7800GT
PSU: Hiper - Sli ready (ATX v 2.2, 580 watt, 2x 12v output)
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional

My system can easily run F.E.A.R., HL2 and the like without any problems as far as speed or stability (for long periods of time). I am running very cool, and hardly get any problems. But I recently installed Half-Life 2: Episode 1, and it seems that at random points (sometimes not for a good half hour of playing) my system will crash. I don't get the bluescreen of death, nor does it restart. My monitor just turns off and my computer refuses to respond. Everytime I restart and look in event viewer, there is nothing under applications, but I see an error under system and the error is like this:
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
atapi
PCIIde

The event ID is 7026. I have googled this error and looked on many forums for quite some time and I haven't found a case that's similar enough to mine for me to find a solution. I don't know what to try to find a driver for... or if that's even what I really need to do to fix this problem. Thanks for helping out!
