System Messages

I keep getting random messages about saying my windows register is corrupt and I need to go to this website.

Thing is theses messages come in windows. It looks like someone is Start>Run>Net send ME -ing me.

What can I do to prevent such messages? How do they get theses messages through?

To get rid of the "net send" messages, go and disable the Messenger service.

The fact that these messages actually get through to your computer means that you have completely neglected your computer security - any firewall would block these things.

That is assuming they actually are net send messages..
