Taskbar toolbar settings blanked out

I've installed several toolbars on my taskbar - by right clicking on the taskbar and selecting "toolbars" > "new toolbar" - etc. Everything worked fine. But now suddenly when I right click and select "toolbars" all the options under this setting are blanked out - so there is no way to add another toolbar. Any ideas on how to fix this - I've tried anything I can think of. This is with a Win XP Home OS.

Curious ,how many toolbars do you have ?
Can u send a screen shot?

I have 3 systems with 4 to 10 toolbars each.
The one with the locked up controls has 3.
[[ have my task bar on the left edge
(not on the bottom) and NOT on top of other windows ]]
I think it's a much better way to work.

I can send you a screen shot
but I need an e-mail to send it to.
Don't think I would want to attach
such a big file to a forum post.

Still tying to figure out how this forum works.
