Tech Tip: Bring a Lost Window Back to your Desktop

I sometimes lose windows when moving them between monitors (they seem to disappear somewhere in the gap between the monitors!)
The solutions above don't work in this case. But what I found does work is to disconnect monitor 2 - then it throws everything onto monitor 1, including the lost window.
Then it's easy - just move it to somewhere convenient and reconnect monitor 2. Works like a charm.

OTE="Guest, post: 877812"]I know this is somewhat late, but maybe it will help (on Win7).

great tip, worked for win 10 in a eye blink!!

I'm actually here for the triangle background shown in the top picture. Anyone know where to find it?

What about the very classic: select the window (with ALT+TAB, for example). Click ALT + Space. Now click DOWN ARROW, then ENTER. Now move the window around with your arrow keys. And that's how it was done in the nineties, when mouses weren't even needed to use a computer... :)

Click ALT + SPACE (release keys), then press M (for Move). Otherwise, you have to press DOWN ARROW TWICE. If you ever forget and you're trying this on a window you CAN'T see, do this on some window you CAN see and it'll help you remember what items show up with ALT + SPACE.

(Win7) shift + right-click the program in the taskbar makes the Move option appear. Then use arrow keys to move it over. There seem to be a lot of alternatives but I've been using that for a few years.

(WIN10) → No success after trying all of the solutions given here, even the ones in the comments.

To solve my problem I had to:
1 - Right click task bar
2 - Click "Show the Desktop"
3 - Right click task bar again
4 - Click "Show open windows" (the only open software at the time was the one with the missing window)

I was ready to uninstall and re-install the software, so I hope this also helps someone, because even restarting Windows and trying to open the software again wasn't helping me.

Also just wanted to thank u for the tip.
I've been fighting this issue since last night and considered rebooting, which would have meant the loss of much work.
