There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request

I log into a domain and have access to my network drives without problem!

THEN, after anything from 5 minutes to 5 hours I get a strange error.

My Windows 2000 domain controller is still accessible as are all the mapped drives on there. But resources on a Windows NT 4.0 server are not accessible although they were before this error appears!

A logon \ logoff temporarily resolves the situation until it happens again!

All servers & client machines are fully service packed. I do not have any internal wins or dns servers!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Check all the network cables, one might have worked itself loose (or is perhaps partly broken and disconnects e.g. when someone walks by or moves a chair etc.)
