to SP1 before SP2

Hi all I hope this is the place to post this.
I just installed win XP and I was wondering if you should install SP1 before SP2 or just installing SP2 by its self is ok?

Some might say that I shouldnt install SP2 due to the problems associated with it, what do you say?

You can go right to Service Pack 2. Just make sure nothing else is running while you are installing it, like Anti-virus etc..

thanks for that, I was a bit worried because on my desk top i installed Sp2 and I have a problem with the MSN messenger, no audio, tried many things, a few others had the same deal, but I just gave up using that PC for MSN messenger.

Make sure your system is clean of spyware.That,and the above mentioned running anti-virus/security software,
causes most of the problems installing SP2.
