Toshiba; no sound

Hi all,

I got a Toshiba Satellite A100 PSAACK-VA104C. It had Vista on it, but I had some compatibility issues, so I installed XP. I've tracked almost all the drivers I need but I can't figure where to find a driver for the sm bus controller. I've got no audio until this is installed. Where do I go and what am I looking for? Toshiba's website is no good as the only drivers they provide for this model are Vista drivers.

Download and run Everest from www.lavalys.com - it should tell you who made the board and where you can get drivers for it.

All the drivers including sound and sm bus controller worked for me at the link below:

try goin on www.realtek.com.tw and download the ac97 audio codecs
