Touble with Wireless laptop

Hello,

I have a desktop computer with a linksys router. I previously had AOL internet service and now have vorizon broadband. AOL has let me keep my screen names and basic privaliges so that I could still read my mail, keep "my buddies" and search the internet.

The problem that I am having is with my laptop. it is connecting to AOL and will let me "IM" and check my mail but there is no way to search the internet. It tells me "Cannot Find Server". Have I or one of my brothers changed a setting or could there be something wrong with the computer such as a virus?

see this post for tests to show your internet connection is correct.

if you can ping by-name and by-address, then your connection is correct
and the issues re xxx not found are other conditions
