Transfer Drive Files

I am trying to transfer data to a new computer, my old one won't boot up. How do you configure the old drive so that the new pc will recognize it?

you normally move the drive to the new system and cable it to the plug
that is between the m/b and the end of the cable. Plug the jumper as SLAVE.

when the new system boots, you should have two HDs, assuming that the
old drive is still good.

you should have a drive letter automatically assigned.
use your cp->admin tools->Computer Mgmt->Disk Mgmt to see the partiton
and/or assign a drive letter.
