Trendware wireless printserver and deskjet 940c

OK, just intalled a Trendware TEW-P1U usb wireless printserver adapter so that I can hook my deskjet 940c to my wireless network. No problems with the communication between the computer and router and printserver. But, when I send a print job to the printer I get an error, nonspecific.

Any ideas?

What is the error message, even if it seems non-specific?

Are there any events in the Event Viewer (System or Application?)

What mode of print serving is this doing? LPR, RAW, Windows Based??

If you have a machine on the wireless network, the machine can share the printer and you won't need a specific server for the printer.

Details here would help greatly...

Thanks for responding.

In the queue it will say, under the Status column: Error - Printing.

It's LPR, I think, but not sure how to check that.

This is just an old deskjet with usb anda parallel port connections for one computer to printer connection only. The printserver is more of an adapter that connects to the printer via the usb port. It allows the printer to talk to my wireless router, a Netgear MR814v2, so that I can print from anywhere and so can my husband. We're a home network of 2 computers and homefully one basic printer.

Let me know what else I can tell you. Thanks again.

Since you're sending a job to the printer, I'm going to assume you've mapped the printer's network address. Am I correct in this assumption?
