FormatC-Win98-un-technoMom exposed--help

Format C --- wiped out Win98 software and comm to External Floppy (did it work to begin with?) and CD ROM...didn't have orginal WIN98 so ordered WIN98 SE (via Ebay). Realized I shouldn't have done a complete Format (too late). Nothing recognized. Went to bootdisk.com, bart, etc. tried to understand and winzip..extract, etc...4 hours later..reading all the helpful suggestions with other delimmas listed here. From Bart's site I downloaded bcd/bfd...when following the command to RUN "bfd cdrom" it was not there....4 hours later...feeling blue...could have..should have...gone to best buy support desk? help
Laptop TI Extensa any suggestions?

Please use colours ONLY to accentuate problems, NOT in normal posts. Thank you.

Welcome to Techspot!
Laptops have a small setup application that usually lives in a small partition on the hard drive, and you may have wiped that out. This must be installed first.
Here are the basic steps to reload but if you don't understand ,take the machine back to Best Buy and let them do it. Also get them to make a system reload disk in case you find yourself in the same predicament.
-First ,by pressing F2 (May be another key ,check owner's manual)after you press the start button, you want the Bios screens to set the Boot order; 1. Floppy, 2. CD, 3. hardrive
-Go to the Web for Extensa and download all drivers/ software files and print out all related instructions.
-You first need to install the "Setup program"(May have a different name, this is often a flash file which uses a Floppy disk) Check to see if hard disk partitions and formatting is done here.
-You should then be able to boot to the Win 98 disk and load.
-Load all remaining drivers and Software in the order directed.
Good luck
Let us know how it is going.
P.S. If you need more help, 'Be very specific' about what you have done and what your current problem is.
