Trying to connect 2 wireless routers in series

Hello all,
I have a Netgear DG834 PN wireless router. I have a happy network set up but thick walls mean doesn't extend v far. Is it possible for me to connect this router to a D Link DI524 wireless router to get a 2nd wirless network in another part of the house? I can run a patch cable between the routers.

If so please advise of the settings required.

Yes you can, altho you have to make sure the second router has a different ip to the other one. You can also fit larger aerials to improve signal strength!!!!

Yes, make sure the routers' LAN IP addresses are different (the netmasks and the first three IP octets should be the same) and turn off the DHCP server on the secondary router.
