Any help would much appreciated.

Here Goes.

Recently i have incurred an problem of not being able to use CTRL + ALT + Delete to access my task manager. This happened around at the same time as my limewire began automatically opening about every thirty seconds. So i unistalled limwire and tryed. Failed. Now a error screen appears claiming limewire cannot find the correct java material.

I cannot open my task manager using the Run application as it says that the talk manager is currently in use.

I am no computer wizz so i would appreciate the answer to be very simplified.
I believe it to be a simple problem.

Any help would be great =P

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

You should reinstall Limewire for the moment.

Then, go HERE and follow the instructions exactly.

Post a fresh HJT log, only after doing the above.

Hopefully we can get your system cleaned up. After that, you should stop using that awful programme Limewire.

If the above instructions aren`t simplified enough, doing a reformat and reinstall will undoubtedly solve your problems.

Which anti virus software do you suggest is most effective?

I hear that Nortan (i use) is potentially a dangerously risky program.

PC Cillen seems the go?

Personally, I use AVG free and Zonealarm free. They do a great job for me.

I deffinitely agree that Symantec/Norton is crap. It also slows down your computer.

However, your main concern at the moment is to get your system cleaned up. You can think about changing av programmes after.
