I've purchased a used UMAX astra 3400 scanner and would like to hear from someone else who also owns one, because I have some questions about it.

Purchased a umax astra 3400 scanner used. Installed it and it worked great 1 time. Now, it will not operate at all. I noticed during the installation process that it requested a registration code, which was not supplied, and i'm wondering if this is why the scanner will not work now?

i have a umax astra 3400 and when i scan images there are colored stripes through the image i need to know why and what i have to do to correct this
