Unable to boot computer after upgrading to Xp pro.

Hello everyone,

Well well... I thought I'd give my computer a new and better OS. (Win XP pro) I upgraded my Home edition to Professional. Everything went well with the installation with the CDs until I found my self on the horns of a dilemma. After restarting my computer, which is the usual procedure after installing a program, my computer was unable to access the login screen, and it keep restarting non-stop. I can't even get to the desktop. Is it because my computer cannot handle Win Pro. What do I do now? Buy a new computer?

Exactly the same problem

My Pc is A DELL Optiplex GX270 (small factor), and as Atreya did, I upgrade from XP Home to PRO with exactly the same results.
