All of a sudden, my system today gave me a message during bootup saying please repair using the recovery console.
I have been trying to do the same for the past couple of hours, but no luck yet. The following things have been tried by me.
1. I try booting up with the Win XP CD and enter the recovery console. On the Commmand Prompt, I have tried the following commands,
chkdsk /r
bootcfg /rebuild
fixboot
After doing this, I exited the recovery console but the OS is not booting but showing the same message "please repair using recovery console".
I also tried the win xp setup to repair the installation but it does not show up in the partition screen. It shows a list of defined partitions but no option to repair an existing installation.
I am completely lost now and dunno where to go.
Any idea on what to do???
